Taylor Made
Back in 1985, for $25 and a motorcycle helmet in trade, the rotted Chevelle with a clapped-out engine reading 144,000 miles on the odo now belonged to Chris Taylor. Finding the original build sheet 15 years later that stated it was a Washington state car originally built at the Kansas City, Missouri plant and shipped to Seattle, Washington. It originally came factory-equipped with Tuxedo black paint, black interior, bucket seats/console, TH350, L48 350ci/300hp, 12 bolt posi, dual exhaust and rally wheels. The previous owner was a fisherman. Chris states that the car sat for who knows how long in the rain. The Chevelle was thrashed. Much of the metal was severely rotted and was literally falling apart. After years of extensive restoration and a 700HP/680TQ, 555 ci BBC with a Dart block, heads and manifold, the restored classic appears as you see it today.
