PNW Gathering Draws New, Classic, Unfinished Builds

Marking its sixth year, the 2024 Snake River Truck Show took place on Aug. 16-17 at McCowin Park in Ammon, Idaho. The event saw hundreds of trucks on display, attracting participants not only from Idaho, but also from surrounding states like Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, California, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, and Montana. A wide variety of trucks were on display—from new models to classics, unfinished projects, and high-profile SEMA builds—showcasing the diverse interests of the truck community.

This year’s show continued the tradition of bringing together truck enthusiasts while supporting a meaningful cause. The raffle, benefiting Operation Pay It Forward for Our Vets (OPIF), was a key part of the event, raising funds and awareness for the organization. OPIF’s mission to assist veterans resonated strongly with the attendees, and the success of the raffle highlighted the community’s commitment to the cause.

The show was a free event, and the crowd reflected a broad mix of people drawn by a shared passion for trucks. Vendors offered products and services that complemented the event’s focus. Attendees were respectful, ensuring the venue was well-maintained throughout the two-day gathering, reinforcing the sense of community that is central to the event.

Over the past six years, the Snake River Truck Show has grown steadily, becoming a significant event for truck owners and fans. It serves as both a showcase for impressive vehicles and a platform for promoting OPIF’s important work. The combination of trucks from multiple states, a supportive community, and a charitable cause has helped solidify the show’s reputation.

Looking forward, next year’s Snake River Truck Show is already set to take place at McCowin Park on Aug. 15-16, 2025. The event is expected to continue its upward trajectory, drawing even more trucks and participants. The core mission of the event will remain the same: celebrating the truck community while supporting veterans through OPIF.

The 2024 show exemplified what the Snake River Truck Show has become—a place where people with a shared interest in trucks can come together for a good cause.
