Once a year The Sultans Car Club of Long Beach, California have their annual Signal Hill Car Show on the grass at the beautiful Signal Hill Park. The park has been the site for all twenty-eight of the Annual Sultans’ Car shows.

The Sultans Car Club is one of the oldest car clubs in Southern California. They have been around for over five decades. Today the club is still going strong with numerous members.

A perfectly finished ’65 Chevy SS Malibu with a 555ci Pat Musi big block Chevy subtly lurking under the hood. The owners are Bill and Linda Freelen. Check out that interior!

The morning weather warmed up soon and stayed sunny all day with temps in the high 80s. One of the unique things about this park are the old, well-maintained, unique variety of trees that provided shade for almost 150 diverse styles of cars, classics, bombs, street rods, trucks, customs, and hot rods.

There is a natural amphitheater at the park where live music was provided by “Johnny Rocket and the V-Twins.” A very tasty Sultans BBQ was available to all. A selection of twelve or so diverse vendor’s booths lined the parking lot offering lots of shopping opportunities. To top it off , the event had a raffle, a 50/50, and the awards ceremony included “special” car awards, some of which were handmade.

Thanks for the Show!!
