The 41st annual F-100 Western Nationals held on June 22 at the Canyon RV Park in Anaheim, California, was nothing short of spectacular. Hosted by the Pickups Limited Truck Club of Orange County, this event has a rich history dating back to 1976, when a group of 1948-1956 F-100 enthusiasts came together. Today, it stands as the largest classic Ford truck show on the West Coast—a testament to its enduring appeal and growth.
Originally known as the Truckin’ Nationals River Run in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, the event has evolved and relocated over the years. Canyon RV Park proved to be the perfect venue, as it offered ample shade under its many trees on a hot summer day, which in turn made it a family-friendly environment with plenty of space for everyone to park and socialize with friends.
This year’s show was a remarkable display of Ford trucks, with over 250 registered vehicles spanning all generations. From an original 1948 F1 to a 2003 SVT Lightning, there was something for every Ford truck lover. The event beautifully bridged the gap between the older and younger generations of enthusiasts, inviting everyone to bring their Ford truck, whether it was a showpiece or not. This inclusive spirit is what makes the F100 Western Nationals so special.
A huge shout out to Brandon and the team at Pickups Limited Orange County for organizing such an incredible event. As always, they ensured everything ran smoothly and created an atmosphere that was welcoming and enjoyable for all attendees.
Flying into the event and experiencing it firsthand was a joy. The number of vendors and the sheer variety of trucks on display made it a memorable day. The F-100 Western Nationals continues to solidify its reputation as the premier classic Ford truck show on the West Coast, and it’s exciting to see it grow year after year.
We eagerly anticipate next year’s event, set for June 2025. For more information and to join in on the fun, simply Google “F-100 Western Nationals.” See you there!
