Five-Year Milestone!

With four heavy-hitter events going down on the same weekend, Altered Metal came out swinging and brought serious quality to Rayne, Louisiana, for its year five anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised to find a wide variety of styles scattered across the showgrounds. As this is my third year attending, it has been awesome seeing the team continue to grow this event and build momentum to knock it out of the park!

Walking through the gate, you immediately see everything from lifted to lowered lined up ready to start the weekend. Taking a hard left, we found the F-100 Takeover crew rocking a full lineup of classic trucks ranging from show-and-shine to patina stretching down the blacktop drive. Straight ahead was the Kustom Ink Klothing trailer, large and in charge, along side its bagged HD diesel Chevy pickup. Continuing down the lineup, we found a healthy assortment of vendors to help fill an empty stomach, snag new parts, or grab some swag.

Whether you are a hardcore automotive enthusiast looking for a show that checks all the boxes, or want to include the whole family, Altered Metal brings it all to the table.

Premium spots were sold to showgoers under the pavilion, keeping everyone cool and comfy in the shade. Killer rides surrounded the pavilion, bleeding into the show field. There was something for everyone, from fast and loud to low and slow. Lifted trucks mingled into a crowd of dropped classics, a dash of mini-trucks, sprinkle of tuners, and a handful of full-size trucks hammered in the grass. Year five absolutely set the bar on quality while keeping the same laid-back atmosphere we’ve enjoyed years before.

Whether you are a hardcore automotive enthusiast looking for a show that checks all the boxes, or want to include the whole family, Altered Metal brings it all to the table. With games, face painting, and a special guest—the Easter bunny—for the kiddos along with an after party for the adults and radical rides in every direction, it’s an easy check mark to put on your 2025 calendar. So, enjoy the view and scan through the print coverage showcasing the highlights of our epic weekend. Street Trucks will see you there next year!
