The Goodguys 22nd annual Meguiar’s Del Mar Nationals happened over the weekend of March 31 to April ,2 2023. The Del Mar Fairgrounds are a perfect place for a huge car show like this one. Lots of space and lots of cars for all in attendance to check out.
The three-day event is chock-full of static and rolling examples of cars, trucks, classics, low riders, and exotics. Choose your favorite flavor, there’s something for you here. Plenty of live action in the auto cross series presented by Classic Performance Products. Hundreds of perfectly detailed classics and street rods line the inside of the buildings and outside along the route. This is one of those not-to-miss shows.
Show participants displaying their car have the opportunity to cruise through the event. As a spectator, it’s fun to sit and have food and a beverage while watching the whole show go bye. It makes for a special kind of car show.
I was particularly attracted to the low rider exhibit inside one of the massive buildings. All forms of highly detailed, artistic builds representing this unique genre packed the space. Each one an expression of culture and style.
There were a number of rare and unusual cars at the show this year that are not typical even at big car shows like the Nationals. Seeing cars that you rarely (or never) see in person is an exciting thing. There’s a genuine appreciation that comes from seeing an uncommon vehicle that the owner has taken special care of to preserve its history.
We love the Goodguys Del Mar Nationals annual event. It’s one we look forward to. Mark your calendar to make this one and share the experience with your family.
