The Ultimate GM-Only Hangout
If there’s one event GM truck lovers can’t afford to miss, it’s Dino’s Git Down in Glendale, Arizona. No Fords are allowed at this massive gathering of Chevy and GMC enthusiasts, and that’s just the way they like it. For 2024, the vibe was bigger, better, and more anticipated than ever, and Street Trucks had cameras on the ground all weekend to soak in the action.
Held at the massive State Farm Stadium, Dino’s Git Down brought together thousands of die-hard GM fans. Friday was all about GM trucks—C10s, K5s, squarebodies, and everything in between. Saturday opened the gates for GM cars to join the party. With no registration fees, no judging, and no awards, this isn’t your typical car show. It’s a laid-back, free-for-all celebration of GM heritage, where the only rule is to show up and have a good time.
Once again, I was excited to be on-site collecting coverage for Street Trucks, C10 Builder’s Guide and Motortopia. “Dino’s is like a family reunion, but with badass trucks.” Everywhere you turned, there was something cool to check out. From patina-covered classics rocking LS swaps to bagged and bodydropped showpieces, this event had it all. Vendors lined the venue, showing off the latest parts, accessories, and builds, while truck owners swapped stories and ideas over cold drinks and killer food.
Dino’s isn’t just a local affair, it’s quickly becoming a nationwide friends and family reunion for GM enthusiasts. People come from all over the country to experience this epic event, and even a few from places outside the US like Canada and Mexico. The atmosphere is unmatched, the trucks are legendary, and the memories made here stick with you long after you roll out of Glendale.
The next Git Down is scheduled for November 2025, and trust us, you’ll want to mark your calendars now. Whether you’re rolling in your own Chevy or GMC or just there to soak in the sights, this is the must-attend event for GM enthusiasts. Stay tuned to www.dinosgitdown.com and social media for updates. We’ll see you there!
