Fitzgerald Performance’s Old School Truck Extravaganza!

Fitzgerald Performance Delivers an Event We Need!

From what we’ve gathered over the past few years, a lot of us have been missing the “Old School” truck scene—getting together, appreciating each other’s builds, and keeping the drama out of it. It’s the elephant in the room at most events and has deterred people (new and old) from the diesel and truck scene in general. There needed to be an event that brought back that nostalgic feeling of the trucks being the center of the show rather than the clout, and Blake Fitzgerald has done just that (in our humble opinion).

Jamestown Tennessee is where this event takes place, a small mountain town near Dale Hollow Lake with 55 acres worth of parking space and a one way in/out… Fitzgerald Performance lays off the main road and has set the standard of how truck shows and events should be hosted in 2024 and beyond!

Two dynos, a fresh burnout pit, and enough parking space to hold a Taylor Swift concert seemed to be enough to host this event, but man were they wrong! Their expectations were blown out of the water with an astounding turnout that brought 1,500 trucks, and 10,000 spectators made for an insane first go for Blake and his crew. The line for the dyno was huge, and it didn’t die down until after the sun went down. The big power guys all came out to compete in a High Horsepower Purse where Greg A ended up making a massive 3,059hp pull to take the W for highest HP of the weekend, just after a few hiccups trying to get the truck back together before the event.

The show and shine for this event was crazy! With over 1,500 trucks, it was easy to find something that fit everyone’s style and gave the contestants enough space to have their rides shown off how they needed to be. A ton of awesome second gens and older trucks, along with some rat-rod builds, like an awesome squarebody semi-rod build (pictured below), came to look their best and take home some hardware from this one of a kind show. The awards for the weekend were machined out of billet and would stand out on anyone’s trophy shelf.

The Fitzgerald Performance show was definitely a “had to be there” circumstance, though these photos show the story the best way we know how to tell it—and we are eagerly awaiting the next event in October. Be sure to check out Blake’s YouTube or Instagram to keep up with his shenanigans—and obviously so you can keep this new show we never even knew we needed in your plans for 2024.
