Fuel2Electric—the leading networking platform for electric vehicle (EV) conversions—is thrilled to announce its return to the SEMA Show for the third consecutive year. With each passing year in the EV conversion space showing significant growth, Fuel2Electric’s booth has doubled in size accordingly, underscoring the increasing demand for creative, stylish EV conversion solutions.
This year, Fuel2Electric’s display will feature two standout vehicles from their network of 80 top-rated builders. These showcase vehicles represent distinct ends of the EV conversion spectrum, highlighting the vast possibilities when it comes to electrifying cars—from nostalgic classics to cutting-edge supercars.
1984 Toyota Celica Liftback: Past Meets Present
Fuel2Electric’s first feature is the 1984 Toyota Celica Liftback, meticulously restored and electrified by Baudelio Ibarra, owner of Magnetomotive. The sleek lines of this ‘80s classic, paired with modern electric technology, are a striking blend of past and present.
Powered by a 120-volt electric conversion kit producing 120 horsepower and offering a 100-mile range, the Celica embodies the growing trend of transforming old-school, iconic cars back into daily drivers.
This project highlights why so many classic car enthusiasts are opting for EV conversions. With its 80s charm and brand new electric powertrain, the Celica serves as a reminder of the timeless appeal of classic Japanese cars. From electric DeLoreans to Mustangs, Porsche 914s, and Mazda Miatas, the idea of daily driving an electrified classic is the essence of the EV conversion movement.
K-1 Attack Supercar: High Performance All Around
On the other end of the spectrum, Fuel2Electric’s second showpiece at SEMA is a unique supercar based on the K-1 Attack Kit. Built by Jeremy Snow, the mind behind the popular YouTube channel “ElectricSupercar,” This beautiful, high-performance EV is powered by the rear-drive unit of a Tesla Model S with a Tesla rear subframe.
Chronicled extensively on Jeremy’s channel, the supercar’s development offers enthusiasts a rare, behind-the-scenes look at building an electric powerhouse from the ground up—from assembling the chassis to driving the Tesla-powered EV in a variety of real-world conditions.
This car represents the cutting edge of EV conversion, demonstrating how even high- performance supercars can be electrified without sacrificing power, speed, or excitement. The K-1 Attack supercar highlights the upper limits of what’s possible with modern EV technology, and SEMA attendees will have the rare opportunity to experience that thrill firsthand.
Push to Start: Fuel2Electric’s Mission
Both of these impressive builds—Baudelio’s nostalgic Celica and Jeremy’s futuristic supercar—are prime examples of why Fuel2Electric is the epicenter of EV conversion expertise. Not only is Fuel2Electric the largest EV conversion network in North America—with over 80 expert conversion shops on board—but they have the ability to transform everything from daily drivers to high-performance vehicles and fleets.
“At Fuel2Electric, we unlock the potential of every vehicle we touch,” said Laurent Frugier, Co-Founder of Fuel2Electric. “We’re not about choosing sides between gas guzzlers and shiny new EVs. We’re playing a different game—acting as the ambassador between the two. We’re about giving those classics on the road a clean new electric kit—getting the best of both worlds.”
A Network Like No Other
Fuel2Electric’s strength lies in its network of designers and EV professionals who manage every aspect of the conversion process. From concept to completion, Fuel2Electric takes the project off the client’s hands, delivering a fully realized electric vehicle that embodies the future of transportation. “We are more than a marketplace,” added Mr. Frugier. “We are a cornucopia of EV knowledge and advice, here to guide every step of the conversion journey.”
