During Friday qualifying of the 2013 NHRA Mello Yello World Finals in Pomona, California, Courtney Force’s Traxxas Ford Mustang scattered parts during a huge supercharger explosion at the starting line.
As soon as Courtney hit the throttle the explosion lifted all four wheels off the ground. Notice the supercharger burst panel being blown off the body. The damaged turquoise/black Mustang Traxxas body was replaced with the pink/black version for the rest of the racing weekend. Fortunately, no one was injured.
