NEW! OE Replacement Brake Kits and Calipers for Base Model Air-Cooled Porsche 911

Motortopia Staff August 23, 2024 Press Release

Camarillo, CA • August 2024
Brake parts for the very popular classic air-cooled Porsche 911s can be hard to find. As a solution, Wilwood has engineered and modernized direct replacement brake kits, rotors, calipers, and brake pads for the base models (non-Turbo and non-“Turbo-Look”) ensuring reliability and availability for enthusiasts. The new OE-style D31 (3.00” mount) and D45 (3.50” mount) two piston calipers draw from over four decades of Wilwood’s motorsports and manufacturing experience to improve upon the design and materials while still being compatible with factory-style brake pads, rotors, and master cylinder.

Wilwood calipers are net-forged from aluminum and machined with internal crossovers and are available to replace 1969-89 Porsche “A”, “M”, and “S” twin piston models on the front and rear. The stiffer body and stainless steel pistons perform better with less heat transfer to the brake fluid. Wilwood rotors are available in four sizes to match OE specs for the same model years. Choice of plain face, or E-coated SRP drilled and slotted rotors in 282×20/24mm, or 290×20/24mm. Calipers are finished in LeMans Yellow, Competition Red, or Gloss Black powder coat, or 23 additional color options (additional charges applies). Complete brake kits include Wilwood’s fade-resistant highperformance SmartPad BP-10 brake pads, flexline hoses, and all premium-grade hardware.
