Proceeds to Benefit Wheel Kids 

On June 8, 2024, the highly anticipated Rodeo X Rigs Vol. 10 was held in Vallejo, California. The fog hung overhead as hundreds of rigs descended on Mare Island for Rodeo X Rigs—the second the San Francisco Bay Area has ever seen. It was a full-scale takeover of the island that was home to the first naval base on the West Coast, which operated for nearly 150 years. Today, this historic location welcomes a parade of rigs and enthusiasts to its shores.

Not Your Dad’s Meet

A quick look around will tell you this isn’t your dad’s truck meet. In addition to all the vendors, food, music, raffles, a kids’ area, and even a BMX stunt show entertained attendees.

Heavy hitters like King Shocks and Tacoma Beast were hard to miss, along with so many companies like CBI & Prinsu (Idaho), R4T (Colorado), Attica 4×4 (SoCal), Front Runner (SoCal), Duro Bumps (Arizona), Rays Wheels (Japan), Rigid Industries (Arizona), Premier West (SoCal), Total Chaos (SoCal) and Wolf Box (SoCal), that all journeyed long distances to meet face to face with local Bay Area enthusiasts.

All Roads Lead Back to the Community 

At every Rodeo X Rigs, the ultimate goal is to give back to different nonprofit organizations. Wheel Kids is a local Bay Area organization that works with kids to get them on bikes so they can experience a life-long journey of health and fitness. They teach them cycling skills, safety, and etiquette with an emphasis on confidence building and fun. Wheel Kids was chosen to receive the proceeds from the event as a contribution to their upcoming projects. It’s nothing short of amazing when the community comes together.

By the late afternoon, everything cleared out almost as quickly as it appeared, and people went their separate ways. Apart from the large scale of the event, the new forged relationships, shared stories, and media, melding different communities together is what makes Rodeo X Rigs unique. If you look past the excitement and controlled chaos of the day, you’ll see a growing group of people dedicated to doing more.
