Show and Shine Behind the Grandstands

The grandstands stretch the length of the quarter-mile Auto Club Raceway at Famoso, near Bakersfield, California. Behind the grandstands is an area called The Grove. It’s a beautiful area filled with trees, each one is planted in memory of a special hot rodder who has passed away, and each has a plaque identifying for whom the tree was planted. At the 57th annual Good Vibrations Motorsports March Meet The Grove was filled with 150-plus beautiful show-and-shine cars that stretched the length of the track. The rat/vintage rodders occupied their usual spot at the end of the grandstands. The weather was perfect for a quarter-mile walk through the tree-lined Grove.
