Corona, California – June 27, 2024 – TMI Products, the leader in custom automotive interiors, has announced a new online configurator designed to make ordering custom, matching door panels and seats even easier than before on vehicle applications that currently offer a molded door panel option.
Previously, a customer who wanted to order matching seats and door panels would have to build each product to match, individually, through the configurator. Now, with the updated configurator, applications that offer both fiberglass molded door panels and seats, such as the Chevy C10 and Ford Mustang, can be designed at the same time to ensure that the options match exactly between the products. Additional applications are planned.
After selecting the Configurator drop-down menu on the TMI Products home page, a year/make/model pop-up screen appears. Once the vehicle information has been inputted, you are brought to the main configurator page that offers a choice between the Lowback or Pro-Classic bucket seats. When a seat of choice has been selected, the menu will take you through a multitude of options, such as overall style, band/trim color, insert color and material, and stitch color. As options are selected, a graphical representation of the seats and door panels change to match the selections, ensuring customers get exactly what they are looking for.
At the end of the configuration, the correct seat bracket is displayed for the vehicle and a detailed build sheet is created with pricing that can then be added to the cart for checkout. The entire process can take just minutes for a customer that knows exactly what they want, or it can be used at a customer’s own pace to see what different combinations look like, helping to visualize a build idea.
