Corona, California – April 2, 2025 – TMI Products, the leader in custom automotive interiors, has announced another significant update to the company’s online seat configurator. Designed to enhance the ordering process for custom seats, the initial version was limited in the number of seat insert patterns that a customer could choose from, and a later update improved functionality by adding more patterns, along with the ability to custom design molded door panels and seats together. The latest enhancement takes that functionality and expands it to include bench seats.
With the updated configurator, customers can now design bench seats with the same variety of colors, materials, patterns, and stitching options as bucket seat customers, including those looking for seats in the popular DDL (Double-Diamond with Lines) and AR2 patterns. The highly anticipated Sport H and Sport Q patterns, which were launched at SEMA, will be added to the configurator later in the year.
After selecting a year/make/model in the online configurator, a sidebar will allow the user to choose their style of seat. If a particular application has molded door panel availability, it will also be shown with the seat to illustrate how a matching set would look together. Once the seat has been designed, the export feature can be used to e-mail an image of what has been created to the user. At the end of the configuration, the correct seat bracket options are displayed for the selected vehicle and a detailed build sheet is created with pricing that can then be added to the cart for checkout.
The entire process has been designed to be as easy as possible for the customer to use and custom designing a bench seat takes just a few minutes for someone who knows exactly what they want. TMI’s configurator is fun for customers and dreamers alike, and for those just browsing or trying to visualize the perfect interior to complement their vehicle, the possibilities are endless.
