The Barrett-Jackson Cup Competition, which was first started in 2013, is the culmination of a build series in partnership with Castrol to showcase and celebrate some of the best Restomod vehicles and builders in the country. Hundreds of vehicles are entered into the competition and the top 50 are selected by Barrett-Jackson and those will drive over the auction block. From there, the top five are chosen by judges Bobby Alloway and Troy Trepanier.

On the first day, Saturday, January 18h, 2025, vehicles will be on display in the auction arena before being paraded across the stage as part of the Barrett-Jackson Cup Parade Presented by Castrol. This event will be livestreamed on the Barrett-Jackson YouTube channel from 3-5pm local time and will be the best chance for TMI fans to see the six TRIM Award winners from SEMA.

These vehicles then go to a specially designated area where they will be on display for the “People’s Choice” vote, which happens via social media. During each of the first five weekdays of the auction, one of the Top Five finalists will be revealed. On the second Saturday, January 25th, 2025, the overall winner and People’s Choice award recipient will be announced from the auction block. The overall winner will receive the coveted Barrett-Jackson Cup and the title of “Ultimate Best in Show”, along with other prizes.
