Upgrading Project stock to not: Installing Toyo Proxes ST3 Tires for Better Traction and Style

CATCHING TRACTION AS WE INSTALL TOYO TIRES ON OUR PROJECT RAM

Today is a special day in the life of project “Stock to Not!”

The tires we have been running on this build have been on for about 15,000 miles and are still in pretty good shape to say the least. But they haven’t been the best-riding tire or doing great in the street traction department. Long story short, they’ve served their purpose and will be laid to rest in the form of a big smokey burnout.

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Toyo Tires to get this build looking, riding, and putting power to the ground MUCH better. One thing we aren’t changing is the 275/40/20 size. With a much more aggressive tread pattern and what physically looks like a bit more tire touching the ground, these Toyo Proxes ST3s are going on today with the help of our friends at Exclusive Offset!

As you can see in this side-by-side image, the tread pattern is a lot more appealing to the eye in the sense of being “sporty” versus our old tires.

Here’s a series of sweet images of Brenden getting these Toyos swapped out on our beloved Liberty Forged LBTY05s! The best tires have to go on the best wheels, right?

Seeing the new rubber on has got us feeling some type of way! They look awesome just sitting on the shop floor.

After a good balance for our new Proxes ST3s, it’s time for the fresh setup to go back on the truck. We’ll be sure to get enough ugga uggas on the lugs so they’re good and snug.

A special shoutout goes out to Toyo Tires for supporting our Stock to Not build. We can’t wait to get these tires on the track in a couple weeks to get some more data on this ol’ Ram without turning the tire over while rolling!
